Radiology-CT Technologist, 24 hours, Nights

Every Thursday and Friday, 7pm-7am

•The Computed Tomography Technologist is involved in hands on patient care. The Computed Tomography Technologist manages room workflow and facilitates care of patients in conjunction with the Computed Tomography Supervisor.

•Under general supervision and following established procedures and protocols facilitates Computed Tomography examinations for all patients.
oActively participates in plan of action in accordance to workflow needs.
oAdheres to policies and procedures for daily operations.
oWorks with the Computed Tomography Supervisor to ensure that the imaging standards are maintained.
oRecommends changes to the protocol that would improve the overall quality and care for the patient.
oParticipates in the quality assurance plan for the Computed Tomography program.
oParticipates in the research and development of new exam and protocols.
oEnters the appropriate charges accurately for all exams.
oEnsures that all exams of high quality and available for interpretation in a timely fashion.
oFollows workflow plan developed by the supervisor, and alerts the supervisor to problems as necessary to a changing environment.
oMonitors the equipment performance and takes the appropriate measures to have the problems resolved (i.e. arrange service/repairs).
oConsistently demonstrates effective communication, both written and verbal, with all departmental, hospital staff, and vendors.
oPerforms all other duties as assigned or required to ensure efficient operation of the department and quality patient care.

•Staff adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. Standards
•Effectively and efficiently produce high quality radiographic imaging studies
•Must be able to multi-task and think in a proactive manner

• Must have graduated from an approved program in Radiologic Sciences

 Be registered or eligible for certification in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent is required. Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT or equivalent CT certification and registration within one year of start of employment.

•Massachusetts Department of Public Health licensure for Radiologic Technologist, required.
•ARRT registry in Radiologic Sciences, required.
•ARRT registry in Computed Tomography, required.
•BCLS, required.
