DescriptionThe Computed Tomography Supervisor oversees all Computed Tomography technologist and student radiographers. The Computed Tomography Supervisor manages and takes care of day to day operations in conjunction with the Radiology Program Manager.
Develops staffing plan in accordance to workflow needs.
Develops policies and procedures for daily operations.
Works with the Radiologist to ensure that the imaging standards are maintained. Recommends changes to the protocol that would improve the overall quality and care for the patient.
Develops and maintains a quality assurance plan for the Computed Tomography program.
Participates in the research and development of new exam and protocols.
Enters the appropriate charges into the EMAR accurately for all exams.
Ensures that all exams are interpreted, and a written report is available in a timely fashion.
Develops a workflow plan and adapts the workflow as necessary to a changing environment.
Monitors the equipment performance and takes the appropriate measures to have the problems resolved (i.e. arrange service/repairs).
Consistently demonstrates effective communication, both written and verbal, with all departmental, hospital staff, and vendors.
Performs all other duties as assigned or required to ensure efficient operation of the department and quality patient care

Massachusetts Department of Public Health licensure for Radiologic Technologist, required.
ARRT registry in Radiologic Sciences, required.
ARRT registry in Computed Tomography, required.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience required.
Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
